Given how much attention is being given to the project, Dragon Ball Daima's choices in voice casting is no surprise, but still a welcome development for viewers feeling especially wistful knowing it's Toriyama's parting gift to the franchise. Those wishing for a new series to stoke their hearts for a new adventure won't have to wait for Shenron, with a host of Japanese voice cast and English dub announcements still on the way. The Japanese voice cast is brimming with recognizable talent reprising original roles and key additions as the Demon Realm is more fully explored. Joining the story's new characters are Demon King Gomah, Neva the Namek, Degesu, Dr. Arinsu, Glorio, and Panzy, along with more brief appearances from Kenichi Ogata in episode #1 as Warp, and Yumiko Kobayashi playing Shin as a child. Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Daima's official websites have even spotlighted newcomers in the series' voice cast.
Masako Nozawa Returns as Son Goku
Goku's Voice Since the Beginning

While Masako Nozawa's reprisal of Goku for Dragon Ball Daima is no surprise, it is also an opportunity for fans to appreciate her work, which spans over sixty years since starting in Astro Boy in 1963. She is also credited with portraying Gohan, Goten, and others throughout the franchise. Still, with Gohan likely to remain absent in Daima as he resumes his studies, the focus will likely remain on her portrayal of Goku. While Nozawa is joined by a host of familiar Dragon Ball alumni in Daima, the new wave of characters is especially worthy of mentioning.
Shōtaro Morikubo Joins as Demon King Gomah
Dabura's Unexpected Successor

For those fascinated by Dabura in Dragon Ball Z, his sudden demise at Buu's hands opened a vacuum in the Demon Realm, only to be sealed by Gomah's claim to the throne in Dragon Ball Daima. Shōtaro Morikubo, known for other classic anime characters such as Naruto's Shikamaru Nara, will portray Gomah as the first villain whose wish using the Dragon Balls shrinks Goku and his friends to their child forms. Gomah's desire to have his power remain uncontested in Dragon Ball Daima sets the plot's events in motion as he aims to rule over the Demon Realm.
It remains to be seen how far Gomah gets in Dragon Ball DAIMA, and the scope of his threat.
Gomah is certainly modeled after the more comedic antagonists as recent as Dr. Hedo, or as classic as Emperor Pilaf. Showing lofty ambitions for ultimate power through the Dragon Balls, it remains to be seen how far Gomah gets in Dragon Ball DAIMA, and the scope of his threat.

Junya Enoki Portrays Supreme Kai's Younger Brother Degesu
Gomah's Right Hand
Not much is known about Degesu besides his mutual heritage shared with Supreme Kai Shin, but with a third Dragon Ball wish possibly in his grasp, he could achieve nefarious means in the future. Junya Enoki portrays Degesu, eager to bring Dragon Ball's latest story into the Reiwa era of Japan (2019-onward) with Enoki's prolific voiceover work, including the portrayal of Jujutsu Kaisen's Yuji Itadori. However, Degesu isn't Shin's only sibling; his sister, Dr. Arinsu, also has a shady purpose in Dragon Ball Daima.

Namekians are one of the coolest original species in Dragon Ball canon, but in Dragon Ball DAIMA, a huge retcon confirms their nefarious origins.

Given Shin's prominent role in Dragon Ball DAIMA, it's no surprise that his brother Degesu, with his own goals, will be the source of some exciting tension in the series. He also offers a more sinister aura than Gomah, yet still paling compared to his sister.
Yōko Hikasa Plays the Shady Dr. Arinsu
Getting a Head Start to Universe 7
As Dragon Ball Daima showed in episode #1, one of the most curious developments was the reveal of Arinsu having gone to Universe 7 before Gomah or Degesu, a curious development to start the series. Yoko Hikasa lends her talents to Dr. Arinsu's character, known for starring in Shaman King's new series as Yoh Asakura, and portraying newer characters like Karameel in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest and many more. The story takes an interesting direction with her participation, with a potentially broad spectrum of developments at hand.

Dr. Arinsu could be the wild card of the three new villains in Dragon Ball DAIMA, closely observing Gomah's plans with the Dragon Balls yet casually asking for simple favors like a wish to turn her young. She is one of the more interesting Core People introduced in the franchise, with an implicit willingness to take matters into her own hands.
Kōki Uchiyama Enters the Scene as Glorio
Fashionably Late

One of Goku and Shin's allies introduced in Dragon Ball Daima, Glorio appears in the post-credits scene of episode #1, getting off a ship with similar aspects to Gomah's, as he is native to the Demon Realm. Kōki Uchiyama plays Glorio, having had a stellar year in 2024, portraying Gen Narumi in Kaiju No. 8 and Taiki Himekawa in the second season of Oshi no Ko. Not much is known about Glorio besides guns being his weapon of choice, as the series fleshes out the characters hailing from the region.
Glorio's mode of transportation is equally fascinating, which bears eerily familiar qualities shared with old Namek spaceships.
Glorio's Demon Realm heritage as part of Goku's crew makes him an interesting addition to the Dragon Ball DAIMA character roster. Glorio's mode of transportation is equally fascinating, which bears eerily familiar qualities shared with old Namek spaceships.

Fairouz Ai Portrays Panzy
The Masked Majin
Panzy is another mysterious new character from the Demon Realm introduced in Dragon Ball Daima . Her role is unknown other than supporting Goku. Fairouz Ai will voice Panzy, having recently also voiced Kikoru Shinomiya in Kaiju No. 8, among other iconic characters like Power in Chainsaw Man. She willbring a similarly plucky energy to this role. Promotional images featuring Panzy wearing a mask have been spotted, but the details are scarce as to why, for now.

Panzy's character design is reminiscent of older Toriyama designs sporting pigtails including multiple Dragon Quest characters like Jessica or Crea. She carries a bag with a sword, which is not unlike Trunks', which could make for some fun fight scenes. However, one of the most fascinating traits about Panzy is Toriyama's naming traditions kicking in once more, with her and Glorio's names based on flowers in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
Yumiko Kobayashi Plays the Child Form of Supreme Kai Shin
Goku's Partner in Crime

Shin is among the countless characters considered Goku's friend and thus affected by Gomah's wish in Dragon Ball Daima episode #1. After this transformation, Yumiko Kobayashi takes over the role, being no stranger to playing similarly rational thinkers like Koshiro Izumi in 2020's Digimon Adventure reboot. Shin is arguably more prominently featured than any other character aside from Goku in Dragon Ball Daima, so this adventure could be a welcome development. At the same time, fans also hold out hopes for Earth's defenders to feature as Daima adds to the series timeline.
Now that he's on a level playing field with a form of Goku much younger than Gohan was, it could make for an interesting dynamic
Shin famously helped oversee Gohan's training in Dragon Ball Z, so now that he's on a level playing field with a form of Goku much younger than Gohan was, it could make for an interesting dynamic. It'll be exciting to have a Core Person like the Supreme Kai featured prominently in the Daima Saga.
